Yummy Color! with Lindsay Weirich

Are your colors drab? Are your watercolors blah? Do you struggle with making your materials zing and sing?

You’re in store for a delicious treat in our new workshop, Yummy Color!

Lindsay Weirich will teach us special techniques to combine watercolor, inks, and colored pencils to get dazzlingly bright and rich, voluminous colors.

To make it even more fun, we’re going to use delicious desserts as our models. (But of course these brilliant techniques apply to any subject you want to bring alive).

You’ll come away from this 3-hour workshop with three dazzlingly tasty colored paintings.

You’ll love learning from Lindsay! She’s a wonderful, fun and experienced instructor who inspires over a half million artists every week on her YouTube channel, the Frugal Crafter.

If you love color, if you love dessert (and who doesn’t?), you're gonna love Yummy Color!

In this special event, Lindsay will demonstrate every step of her process. Then she’ll answer your questions — live.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Make loose washes
  • Blend colors
  • Build up layers for weight and volume
  • Sharpen detail and highlights
  • Work with different types of colored pencils

Reserve your seat today. Then plan to watch the recording over and over.

For all levels: Upbeat, accessible but full of practical tips and inspiring ideas that will take these familiar materials in new and colorful directions

“I have done a few workshops with Sketchbook Stool, and every one has made me think differently forever after about the way I think about and approach making art, and has given me new insights and practical ways to improve my craft. And they are a joy to attend. The guest artists/teachers are extraordinary. I find myself in disbelief that I am getting to learn from such amazing people.

I am so appreciative of what these workshops offer.”
