Watercolor Pencils with Kate Lagaly
Live Workshop. Saturday, Jan 22, 9am PT
Doors close Fri, Jan 21, 5pm PT
Description
Watercolor pencils are a fantastic addition to your art supply kit. They combine drawing and painting into one portable, vibrant material. While they may look like regular pencils, they come alive when they come into contact with water. And getting the most out of your watercolor pencils takes a little knowledge and experience.
That’s where Kate Lagaly comes in.
Kate is the most experienced and accomplished watercolor pencil artist we’ve ever met. She’s also a patient, engaging instructor who’s taught workshops across the country. We’re so lucky to have the chance to learn from her.
In our new workshop, Kate will show you everything you need to know to create stunning effects with this versatile medium. Dry pencil layering, mixing, and blending. Wet applications. Color theory. Tips on building textures with salt, sandpaper, and plastic wrap. The best way to use brushes and erasers. And so much more.
From the initial sketch to final sparkling touches, you’ll come away with a wealth of fundamentals, tips, and stunning results that bridge the best of wet and dry.

“The sketch a pub workshop with Ian was fantastic. He is such a good teacher and just a delight to listen to. His enthusiasm is very inspiring. This workshop provided pre-recorded videos to look at before the live workshop which was extremely helpful. All around, a great way to spend three hours!!”
