Saturday, January 9, 9am PST
Doors close Friday, Jan 8 at 5:00pm PST
Description
Discover the alchemy of watercolors and blow the lid off your creative process!
Build unique skills and learn how to choose and mix pigments while painting a dramatic landscape from start to finish. It’s not magic, but it sure feels like it.
Instructor David Pyle is going to show you how to create an irresistible composition, use values to create drama, and choose pigments and other tools that bring powerful (and seemingly magical!) properties to your art.
You’ll work from a reference photo to complete a landscape with David. Then you’ll apply what you learn for years to come!
This workshop is designed to take your watercolors to the next level. Thanks to Winsor & Newton, we will be working with their products throughout the workshop.

About the Instructor
David Pyle
David uses his background in art and chemistry to tell stories of the Western landscape with paint and pencil. With that intersection of art and science, he worked for Winsor & Newton and Liquitex, and subsequently with The Artist’s Magazine and American Artist Magazine. For nearly 40 years, he’s been experimenting with watercolors and their magical alchemy.
