OUR WORKSHOPS
Gouache Flowers
Live Workshop. Saturday, Oct 30, 9am PT
Doors close Fri, Oct 29, 5pm PT
Description
Would you love to capture all the color and vitality of a bouquet of flowers? August Wren paints gorgeous flowers every day and, after much popular demand, she’s finally going to show us how.
In this live workshop, we'll learn step-by-step to paint flowers with gouache (opaque watercolors). We’ll start with quick, expressive monochrome sketches then, with an introduction to color theory, we’ll learn how to mix all the many hues that flowers come in.
Next we’ll make vibrant, dimensional portraits of a single bloom, and finally compose and paint a complete mixed bouquet, suitable for framing.
You won’t believe how much you make and learn in a few fun hours.
Whether you’re brand-new to painting or eager to learn from a floral master, this workshop will quickly have you filling your home with gorgeous art.
