You’ll learn shading with graphite, collage, ink and watercolor, water-soluble pen, vellum overlay with color pencil, and how to make your own simple sketchbook. Jane will inspire you to use different media to capture various flowers in different ways.

About the Instructor

Jane LaFazio

After years as a graphic designer and textile artist, Jane LaFazio fell in love with drawing and realized that she was an artist too. She developed into a renowned watercolorist and sketchbooker and leads workshops around the world. She is also a pioneer of online art instruction, inspiring many with her warmth and passion for creativity.​

Danny Gregory

Danny is an author and co-founder of Sketchbook Skool. He taught himself to draw in his mid-thirties, after a tragic accident changed his life. Drawing brought him peace and joy and a new perspective on life. His bestselling books have inspired tens of thousands of new artists around the world to join him in a new creative habit. Each workshop has two components. 1. Videos We record real-time demonstrations of the instructor showing you how to do the technique. These are streamed during the event and you will have lifetime access to the recordings after the event ends. 2. Live Q&A: The instructor is present throughout the live event to answer any questions you have. You will also be joined by other artists in a lively chat

While the workshop is conducted on Zoom, only the instructor and the host appear on camera. You will ask questions via our messaging system.

All you need is basic familiarity with Zoom and a decent broadband connection. You can do it on a laptop or a tablet.

As soon as you enroll, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the workshop and all preparatory materials.

Our workshops have something for everyone.  We explain the basics and also share tips and tricks that will help even the most advanced artists. 

We invite everyone to work along with the instructor live during the workshop . However, if you’d rather just watch and learn, you can always rewatch the recordings on your own schedule and make your art piece late

Although the live streaming workshops are designed to be taken live so you can interact with the instructor, everyone who signs up also gets access to the recording for viewing on your own schedule, no matter your timezone.
