Art Therapy Thursdays: Turning Problems into Solutions

By

Last week, Sketchbook Skool co-founder Koosje Koene admitted that she’d fallen into a creative rut; she’d lost her inspiration (along with two of her favorite fountain pens). So she started interviewing people about how they get their artistic mojo back, starting with her favorite musician–her husband Pascal!

This week, Koosje talks to Sketchbook Skool co-founder Danny Gregory about what he does to get back in the creative groove. Some of his advice seems counterintuitive, but it makes sense. Enjoy the video, and feel free to sketch portraits while you watch!

How To Get Your Creativity Back

Have you ever been in a creative rut? Have you sometimes lost inspiration (and your favorite fountain pens)? Tell us about it, and what you did to get creative again, in the Comments below. We’d love to hear from you.

Koosje Koene is the co-founder of Sketchbook Skool, creator of Draw Tip Tuesday and her food illustration course and a featured teacher in many other Sketchbook Skool kourses.
