While Sketchbook Skool students have been Expressing, Beginning, and Playing, Danny’s been Traveling! Over the weekend, he did an artist residency in Doha, Qatar (we’ll have more on that in a future blog post). Then, on January 30, Danny will be a featured presenter at the annual conference for The Art of Education group, whose mission is best explained by their tagline: Ridiculously Relevant Professional Development for Art Teachers.

Danny will be making a presentation called “Art Before Breakfast: Finding Time to Create Every Day.” You don’t have to be an art teacher to need that little pep talk. And if you need it, there’s Danny’s art Before Breakfast: A Zillion Ways to Be More Creative No Matter How Busy You Are e-book.

Meanwhile, from our Amsterdam campus, Koosje celebrated WorldWide SketchCrawl day this past Saturday by joining her pal Dudley Svendsgaard’s sketch group. Expressing teacher Sabine Wisman showed up too! And finally, from all around the world, SBS students sent us beautifully hand-lettered inspirational quotes for the Lamy Joy fountain pen giveaway. Thank you to all who participated, and stay tuned for a special announcement of our winners!
