You may have already met Felix Scheinberger, one of the teachers in our Expressing kourse, through this video by Sketchbook Skool co-founder Koosje Koene when she filmed him in Germany. In case you missed it, Felix is an amazing illustrator from Berlin who is also a highly respected watercoloring teacher at a German university, and an active member of Urban Sketchers. He’s illustrated many books and written and illustrated two of his own about sketching and watercoloring. (You can find them in the SBS Shop here. Note: They’re in German, but art is a universal language!) Felix sketches his home and surroundings, but he also travels a lot and creates beautiful drawings of the places he visits, like the one you see below. You can learn more about him on his website here. And you can take Felix’s klass in Expressing by clicking here!

When you think about watercoloring, what kind of scenes do you want to sketch and paint–your travels, people, animals, something else? Tell us about your favorite subjects (and your least favorites!) in the Comments below.
