Art Therapy Thursday: Nina Johansson – How to Overcome Creative Blocks?

What do you do if you’ve come up against not just a creative block, but a whole big creative brick wall? If you’re Sketchbook Skool co-founder Koosje Koene, you start talking to other creative people about how they get past their blocks.

This week, Koosje talks with Nina Johansson, an artist born and based in Sweden who teaches art, design, filmmaking, photography, and other fun stuff to teenagers. Next year, Nina will join Sketchbook Skool’s fakulty and teach a klass in one of our new kourses. (Stay tuned; new kourse news is coming soon!) Here’s one of Nina’s sketches:

Sketchbook Skool co-founder Danny Gregory also interviewed Nina on his blog a while ago; you can check that out here.

Nina Johansson loved making art as a kid but didn’t think she could be an artist. In school, she mixed art classes in with her studies of math, science, and languages. Now she teaches art and computer graphics to kids ages 15-19 in Stockholm. She will also be teaching a klass in Sketchbook Skool in 2017.
