At Sketchbook Skool, we all know how drawing can enhance your appreciation of everything. People around you, the teacup in front of you, conversations we overhear in the cafe, our food, and our hockey games. Yes, even hockey.
Sketchbook Skool co-founder Danny Gregory and fakulty member Tommy Kane hadn’t heard about how drawing can really bring out the best in a good game of hockey until they saw the art of Marcy Singer, Sketchbook Skool student and ardent fan of the New York Rangers. Marcy loves hockey and drawing, and one day these two passions collided in a fantastic way.
Over time, we’re learning that these seemingly unlikely combinations aren’t that rare. Brian Butler, last week’s teacher in our Exploring kourse, loves to sketch concerts he goes to. He’s done it so often he can’t imagine going to a show and not drawing.
One picture is worth a thousand words, so we’ll let this Gregory/Kane production tell you the story of Marcy, the Rangers, and a great series of sketches.
What passion of yours can be even more enjoyable by drawing it?
