Meet Liz Steel, this week’s teacher in our Urban Sketching kourse! In this video, you’ll get a look at Liz’s klass, which she teaches from her home in Sydney, Australia. Liz is an architect whose love for drawing changed her life—she took a sabbatical for work to draw full time, and she now teaches the art of drawing from real life all over the world.

Liz draws outside a lot, which can create a few issues with sketchbooks. That’s why she created her own sketchbook support after learning how from Urban Sketcher and author Marc Taro Holmes.

This brilliant sketchbook hack allows you to keep your sketch pad open firmly, without collapsing, and your watercolors close at hand. It’s easy to make with just a few large clips. For more details, click here to see Liz’s blog post on making your own sketchbook support.
