This week, our new kourse Exploring launched, and Sketchbook Skool co-founder Danny Gregory kicked off his lessons with encouraging words about creativity and a tutorial in shading with crosshatching (or hatching, or krosshatching, as we call it here at Skool).

In his lessons, Danny discussed why we all feel the need to be creative, and how to keep from talking ourselves out of it. One of the easiest ways is to just put pen to paper—which Sketchbook Skool co-founder Koosje Koene does in this Study Hall video. For her Exploring homework, she tries out Danny’s crosshatching techniques to create shadows in a drawing.

Exploring just started, and you can just dive in right now! Click here to enroll and join in the fun.
